Board member with a strategic, hands-on and entrepreneurial approach

In this new position you coordinate and align the formulation of the 3 year-plans of the Finance, HR, ICT and Supply Chain departments and set future direction in accordance with the president of Shimano Europe. Your accountabilities:

  • Manage and develop the respective departments and managers in order to enable them to realise the team and individual goals;
  • Drive professionalisation and optimisation of the holding processes in order tot improve customer satisfaction and efficiency;
  • Control and monitor the year budgets and actuals of all European offices in accordance with the 3-year plans and targets set, in order to be able to monitor progress;
  • Keep contact with all sales offices, external advisors and auditors to monitor progress;
  • Professionalise and further integrate supply chain management;
  • Ensure the development of a Shared Service Centre within the European Group and bring synergy within the team;
  • Initiate, design, implement and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance, promote quality achievements and performance improvements;
  • Manage and coordinate Shimano’s European M&A projects;
  • You will report directly to the President of the European Group.

What are we looking for?

A high performance driven manager with an integral level of thinking. An inspirational manager with strong leadership within the different departments and with the management team. A service and value created leader with the spirit, passion and drive to help create and execute business plans and able to develop and maintain the trust and confidence of all team managers. Your profile:

  • Bachelor or academic degree in Business Administration, Finance or accounting;
  • Minimum of five years of (financial) management experience;
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with a strong business focus;
  • Familiar in working in an international setting;
  • Retail experience and knowledge;
  • People management skills (coaching, motivating);
  • Excellent multi-level communication and collaboration skills;
  • Knowledge of M&A routes, ICT, Supply Chain and HR;
  • Excellent language skills; both verbal and written in Dutch and English.
